fibre comb (cardador de fibra)

Carding instrument, in the past made out of the carda or fruit of the cardon cactus, but now a metal comb.

carding machine (cardador mecánico de fibra)

A machine for carding wool, cotton, or other fibres  consisting of cylinders with intermeshing wire teeth which revolve at different speeds or in opposite directions.
